Backstory
Ms. Stella was born in 1996 and raised in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur. Growing up in a modest household, she took on responsibilities early due to her family’s financial situation. Despite achieving only moderate results in SPM and having a naturally shy personality, Stella was determined to support her family. She worked part-time jobs as a tuition assistant and college staff while still in school.
With her consistent effort, she earned a full scholarship to study Business Management at Reliance College, followed by a degree in Branding and Advertising at UCSI University. During her studies, she continued working to help support her mother, who had been diagnosed with depression following a business failure. Balancing education, work and family responsibilities became the foundation of her discipline and resilience.
These years shaped Stella’s character, instilling a work ethic built on necessity, empathy and perseverance. Her academic and personal journey reflected someone who was never handed easy opportunities, yet found ways to create them. She did not follow a conventional path, but her choices prepared her for a career defined by adaptability, learning and long-term vision.
First Contact Experience
After completing her studies, Stella began her career as an HR Administrator at a Hong Kong based printing company. Over two and a half years, she gained hands-on experience in recruitment, HR operations and internal management. This role marked her first real exposure to the recruitment industry, where she developed an interest in connecting people with opportunities.
When COVID-19 disrupted the workforce in 2019, Stella transitioned into an Assistant General Manager role at a Japan based oil and energy firm. During this time, she contracted COVID-19 three times, which led to long-term health issues including respiratory symptoms and chronic dry eye. Despite this, she continued working and later joined a government linked company as an HR Administrator, expanding her knowledge of public sector HR systems.
Parallel to her full-time jobs, she began freelancing as a recruiter, connecting remote workers and employers adapting to digital operations. She noticed that many recruitment agencies were practicing unethical hiring and lacked transparency, which fueled her frustration. This period became a turning point as she realised that the industry needed change and that she might be the one to lead it.
Company Establishment
In late 2022, Stella founded her first company, SBC Recruitment, in Cheras Mutiara. Starting out on her own, she focused on ethical, responsive and people first recruitment services. One of her early success stories involved hiring a full 50 person team for an IT company, from junior programmers to C level leaders, all within 60 days. This milestone proved her capability and set a high standard for her agency.
As demand for her services grew, she hired four full-time recruiters and expanded her offerings to include HR consulting for SMEs across Kuala Lumpur. With new ambitions in sight, she made the bold decision in 2024 to relocate the business to Bangsar South, a premium commercial location that reflected her company’s rising status and long term goals. She rebranded the agency as Agensi Pekerjaan Eternity Sdn Bhd, or Eternity Recruitment.
Today, Eternity Recruitment serves over 300 clients and has placed more than 5000 candidates across IT, retail, finance, BPO and other sectors. Stella’s leadership is grounded in efficiency, transparency and a drive to improve recruitment standards across Malaysia.
