Job Overview
We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to take a technical leadership role across teams and domains. You’ll be responsible for architecting and driving the development of scalable, resilient systems that directly align with business objectives. As a domain expert, you’ll provide thought leadership, mentor other engineers, and shape engineering best practices across the organization. This role is ideal for a highly experienced backend engineer who is passionate about building high-performance systems and enabling long-term technical excellence
Responsibilities:
- System Architecture: Design and review scalable, fault-tolerant, and secure system architectures, including multi-region disaster recovery and strong data consistency.
- Technical Leadership: Provide domain expertise and guidance across multiple teams; drive cross-functional architectural discussions.
- Business Alignment: Translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions, considering long-term product and company strategy.
- Reusable Components: Build high-quality, reusable components and establish best practices to boost team-wide efficiency.
- Process Innovation: Define and implement domain-level standards, governance rules, and process improvements (e.g., microservice design, observability, code quality).
- Mentorship & Collaboration: Coach engineers, drive knowledge sharing, and cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
Requirements:
- Education Requirement:
- Bachelor’s Degree of Computing, Software Engineering, IT or related field
- Skills Requirement:
- Experience: Minimum 6+ years of experience in backend system design and development, with a proven track record of delivering mission-critical systems.
- Tech Stack Expertise: Deep expertise in Java, with mastery of backend frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot, WebFlux), messaging systems (e.g., Kafka), and distributed databases (SQL/NoSQL, Redis, etc.).
- Architectural Skills: Experience designing and scaling large distributed systems with a focus on performance, availability, security, and resilience.
- Process Leadership: Able to define and implement engineering standards and technical guidelines at the system/domain level.
- Innovation & Problem Solving: Continuously evaluates new technologies and integrates them strategically to enhance systems and processes.
- Risk & Impact Awareness: Anticipates edge cases and long-term impacts, and incorporates robustness, observability, and compliance from the design stage.
- Soft Skills:
- Influence &aeadership: Persuasively drives adoption of best practices and standards across teams and stakeholders.
- Decision-Making: Makes informed, strategic decisions backed by technical expertise and business impact analysis.

Benefits:
