DevOps Engineer

Full job description

Responsibilities: 

• Collaborate in designing, implementing, and managing scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Contribute to the development, optimization, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines.
• Assist in deploying and managing containerized applications using tools such as Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes. 
• Monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot production systems to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2 year experience of software engineer role 
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) to automate tasks and processes.
• Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems and command-line interfaces. 
• Basic knowledge of AWS cloud services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS). 
• Basic knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. 
• Foundational experience or coursework in cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, or system administration. Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Haves): 
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform. 
• Basic understanding of distributed event streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka).
• Familiarity with database systems such as MySQL, Redis, or similar. 
• Awareness of cloud security principles and best practices. 
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Logstash, OpenSearch, Grafana). 
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and its implementation.
• Fluent in speaking, reading and typing in both English and Mandarin.
